Docker Hub flaw let attackers impersonate users, tamper with images

Docker has disclosed a critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-105445) in Docker Hub that let attackers access another user’s container repositories using a personal access token (PAT). Docker Hub is an online registry for storing, sharing, and downloading container images - templates that package everything needed for an application to run in an isolated environment. In Docker Hub, a PAT serves as a secret used to authenticate tools and workflows. It allows you to pull, push, or delete container images. According to a security bulletin from the Docker team, an attacker could create an account and PAT, then convert the account into an organization and name a target user as its owner. The CVE-2026-105445 flaw stems from Docker Hub reassigning a personal access token (PAT) to a designated organization owner without changing its secret or obtaining the target's consent. This allowed the attacker to use the token to authenticate as the target.

Yandex confirms service outage as users lose access to cloud files

Russian cloud services provider Yandex announced that drone attacks damaged three of its data centers, forcing it to shut down two facilities and partially disable a third. Yandex customers are experiencing service outages, some of them reporting inability to access files stored on the company’s cloud infrastructure. The impacted data centers are in Sasovo (hit on October 8), Kaluga (hit on October 9), and Vladimir (attacked on October 11). The Sasovo and Vladimir facilities stopped operating completely, while the Kaluga facility's operations are degraded. The attacks are believed to have been carried out by Ukrainian forces trying to cause widespread operational disruptions. Yandex reported no injuries related to these incidents. As Russia’s largest technology companies, Yandex is often called “Russia’s Google,” offering search engine, maps, and navigation services. The company also offers ride-hailing, delivery, shopping, streaming, email, cloud storage, and business cloud infrastructure services.

P7 DarkSword iOS Exploit Kit Adds Crypto Wallet Data Theft and Remote Commands

Cybersecurity researchers have disclosed details of a previously unseen variant of the DarkSword iOS exploit kit called P7 DarkSword. "Compared with the variants we usually observe, P7 reduces its on-device footprint, adds on-device keychain and crypto-wallet theft, and adds two way C2 communication with the attacker's infrastructure," iVerify said in a new report published Thursday. The name

The Third-Party Agent Problem: Why Security Built for AI You Chose Misses the Agents You Didn't

In environments studied for the 2026 State of Agent Security Report, roughly 1,280 third-party products now embed AI. About 282 of them sit behind single sign-on. The other thousand are invisible to identity infrastructure by default, not because anyone hid them, but because an identity stack can only govern what authenticates through it, and most agents never do. That gap is the clearest

Danish university DTU breach exposes data of up to 200,000 people

The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) says information belonging to up to 200,000 users may have been exposed after hackers accessed its identity and access management system and downloaded a large amount of data. The university says the attacker used compromised credentials to log into DTUBasen, its identity and access management (IAM) system, allowing access to more than two decades of user data. In a disclosure on Friday, DTU confirmed that it cannot “determine precisely what information was downloaded or how many people have been affected.” However, the Danish university notes that DTUBasen stores information for nearly 40,000 active users and around 160,000 former users. Potentially exposed information for current users includes Danish civil registration numbers (CPR), full names, home addresses, and profile pictures, as well as work email addresses, job titles, office locations, and other employment-related details.
