Singapore-based Ahsay Backup has released security updates to address two security flaws in AhsayCBS that have been exploited by bad actors to drop web shells and XMRig cryptocurrency miners. The vulnerabilities in question are CVE-2026-105133 and CVE-2026-105134, which could be chained to sidestep authentication and execute arbitrary commands on affected systems. In a report published earlier
Palo Alto Networks has released security updates for a high-severity PAN-OS RCE zero-day, tracked as CVE-2026-0322, that has been exploited in attacks targeting firewalls. The vulnerability affects the PAN-OS management interface and lets authenticated attackers with network access execute code as root on vulnerable devices. Palo Alto Networks confirmed in a security advisory published Wednesday that it has seen limited exploitation of the flaw in attacks. "Very limited exploitation has been observed targeting the Palo Alto Networks management interface," the company said. The vulnerability has a severity score of 8.6 and affects PA-Series and VM-Series firewalls, as well as Panorama virtual and M-Series appliances. Palo Alto says Cloud NGFW and Prisma Access are not affected. To exploit the vulnerability, attackers need existing credentials and network access to the PAN-OS management interface.
Microsoft and Health-ISAC, along with the Japan Cybercrime Control Center (JC3) and a coalition of private sector companies, such as Resecurity, Cloudflare, Oracle, Proofpoint, and TRM Labs, announced the disruption of three phishing kits, CoGUI (aka NX or FA), Haozi (aka Phoenix), and Iron Man System. "Since January 2026, the threat actors behind these kits have been responsible for
Microsoft has resolved a known issue that caused Always On VPN connection issues after installing the September 2026 Windows 11 security updates. The Always On VPN remote access solution replaced the legacy DirectAccess technology and works with domain-joined, non-domain-joined, and Microsoft Entra ID–joined Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server devices. Always On VPN runs in the background and automatically establishes a secure tunnel back to the corporate network whenever a device connects to the internet. As Microsoft first acknowledged in a service alert sent to IT administrators in late September, the bug triggered Always On VPN failures if the initial connection fails (e.g., when using automatic protocol selection with IKEv2 and SSTP) on up-to-date systems running Windows 11 24H2 and later.
AI-powered penetration testing can uncover complex attack paths, but safety restrictions and network limitations leave many assets and vulnerabilities untested. Picus Security explains how combining agentic pentesting with exposure validation and breach simulation can help close these gaps.
A massive cybercriminal ecosystem facilitating more than a billion malicious messages targeting over 75,000 organizations across 150 countries has been disrupted by law enforcement agencies and partners worldwide. Since the start of the year, more than 750 million malicious messages have been aimed at Microsoft customers via email and SMS texts. Following an investigation initiated by Microsoft and Japan’s National Police Agency (NPA) into a wave of fraudulent activity, "a sprawling Chinese-language cybercrime marketplace" was discovered, with tools and services for phishing campaigns. The investigators traced the malicious activity to YAM Store (Storm-3119), an underground infrastructure marketplace, then linked it to the CoGUI, Haozi, and Iron Man System phishing kits, collectively tracked as Storm-2990.

A flaw in SAP's Cloud SDK for Python can send an application's OAuth2 client credentials to a server an attacker controls, SAP said in a security advisory on October 13. The flaw affects multi-tenant applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) that use the SDK, SAP's official Python client for BTP services. An attacker must be able to control the tenant subdomain,
Attackers continue exploiting gaps in MFA coverage, using stolen credentials to access VPNs, RDP, and Windows systems that still rely on passwords alone. Specops explains why protecting cloud applications isn't enough and how organizations can close these authentication gaps.
SAP has addressed 20 security flaws across multiple products in its October 2026 security updates, including a maximum-severity vulnerability in the Cloud SDK for Python. The SAP Python SDK is the official programmatic toolkit for developing AI agents and Python applications on the company's SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services. Tracked as CVE-2026-89111, the maximum-severity vulnerability patched this month can be exploited by remote attackers without privileges to steal credentials. Customers who can't immediately deploy the October 2026 SAP patches can temporarily mitigate the issue by using an allowlist to validate tenant_subdomain values. "The SAP Cloud SDK for Python contains an OAuth2 SSRF vulnerability affecting multi-tenant BTP applications. An attacker who controls the tenant_subdomain parameter can redirect OAuth2 token requests to an attacker-controlled server, causing client credentials to be exfiltrated," according to a Tuesday advisory.
